ACCREDITATION FAIR

The Massachusetts Department of Education's Office of Proprietary Schools invites owners and directors of private occupational schools to attend an accreditation fair.  The fair is sponsored by the following accrediting agencies: ABHES, ACCET, ACCSCT, ACICS, COE, COMTA, DETC, NACCAS, and NEASC.

The purpose of the fair is to allow schools to learn more about U.S. Department of Education-approved accrediting agencies and the accreditation process. There will be a general session for all attendees, individual accrediting agency information sessions, and tables with information about each accrediting agency. In addition, the U.S. Department of Education will discuss the role of accreditation in its approval of schools for federal student aid and a panel of representatives from Massachusetts accredited schools will discuss the benefits of accreditation for their schools.

The fair will be held from 1-6 p.m. on April 25th at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston.  Pre-registration for the fair is available on the Department’s web-site.  This is your opportunity to gather information and ask questions.  There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served.  We look forward to seeing you.
