ACCREDITATION
FAIR
The Massachusetts Department of Education's Office of
Proprietary Schools invites owners and directors of private occupational
schools to attend an accreditation fair.
The fair is sponsored by the following accrediting agencies: ABHES,
ACCET, ACCSCT, ACICS, COE, COMTA, DETC, NACCAS, and NEASC.
The purpose of the fair is to allow schools to learn more about U.S. Department
of Education-approved accrediting agencies and the accreditation process. There
will be a general session for all attendees, individual accrediting agency
information sessions, and tables with information about each accrediting
agency. In addition, the U.S. Department of Education will discuss the role of
accreditation in its approval of schools for federal student aid and a panel of
representatives from

provide schools with information specific to their agency such as what/who they
accredit, how to apply, how accrediting agencies provide technical assistance,
