Frequently Asked Questions about the Technical Training Program (TTP)
What is the Technical Training Program (TTP)?
The Technical Training Program (TTP) has been developed by the Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS) to assist school directors in developing an understanding of compliance with Education Law and the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education. In addition, it clearly defines the relationship between the Bureau's regulatory authority and the licensed proprietary school community that it oversees. The TTP fosters a better understanding of Bureau staff responsibilities and, in turn, presents the director with what is expected of any individual holding that position in fulfilling the mandates under Education Law. Current events within the industry are discussed and the interaction between Bureau staff and a variety of school directors provide a cordial and informative session that benefits all attendees.
When and Where Is the TTP Conducted?
The TTP is conducted at the New York City office of BPSS at 116 West 32nd Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10001, (212) 643-4760. It is usually held the last Wednesday of every other month from 8:45 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m. The maximum number of participants at a given session is usually 20.
Tentative Schedule for Next TTP's

Who May Attend the TTP?
School directors of licensed proprietary schools or of schools in the process of becoming licensed may attend the TTP by timely registering for the next scheduled session. If space permits, a school director may request registration for his/her assistant as well.
How Do I Register to Attend the TTP?
You must register in advance to attend a TTP. There is no cost for the program. To get more information or to register for an upcoming session, you must contact BPSS Associate, David Brieff, at (212) 643-4760 or by e-mail at dbrieff@mail.nysed.gov
