Refresher Directors Course Announcement and Invitation
Session I: August 31, 2009 and September 1, 2009
Session II: September 16, 2009 and September 17, 2009
The agenda for the Refresher Directors Course is currently under construction and will be added to the website once finalized. Topics will include:
- School Licensing – Additional locations, renewals, transfers of ownership, moves, and name changes
- Personnel Licensing – Agents, licensed private school teachers, registered business school teachers, directors
- Curriculum – New programs, renewals, amendments, distance learning, entrance requirements, allied health specialties
- Recordkeeping – Catalogs, enrollment agreements, attendance records, student files
- Facilties – Quarters approvals, additional instruction space vs. additional locations, certificates of occupancy/fire approvals, use of instructional space
- Complaints – What Happens When a Student Files a Complaint?
- Investigations – How to Work With Investigators
- Navigating the BPSS Website and Other Resources
- Financial Statements/Tuition Assessment
The course is designed for directors who hold full or permanent licenses and have previously attended the 30 clock hour course at least one year ago. This Course is designed for directors only and due to an anticipated demand for seating, space for guests is extremely limited. Please do not bring a guest unless permission has been obtained, in writing, from Monica Borden. Guests that have not received permission may be turned away at the door.
All directors must confirm their intention and commitment to attend the course by e-mail or fax. Please plan to attend both days of the session for which you are registering. Only when that is done, will a place be reserved for you in the course, and the reservation noted on our web page. To ensure that your registration has been received and accepted, please check the reservation list below for your name.
