SUBJECT:   Meeting of the Proprietary School Advisory Council – March 25, 2003

            The next meeting of the New York State Proprietary School Advisory Council is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2003.  This meeting will be held in the Education Building, 2^nd Floor-Catalog Room, Washington Avenue, Albany, New York.  Directions and parking information are available on the SED web page at www.nysed.gov.

            This special Advisory Council meeting has been planned in conjunction with the New York State Coalition of Career Schools and the New York State Beauty Schools Association.  These groups have arranged for a series of small group meetings between our sector representatives and members of the Legislature.  Advisory Council members and others are invited to join the Coalition and the Association at these meetings. 

            The agenda for the March 25, 2003 meeting as set by the Council is as follows:

1.                  Call to Order – 9:15 AM

2.                  Approval of the Meeting Minutes from January 30, 2003 (copy enclosed)

3.                  Old Business

4.                  Finalize Draft of the Report to the Governor and the Legislature

5.                  Set Agenda and Date for Next Meeting

6.                  Adjourn by 10:15 AM.

            The Coalition of Career Schools and the Beauty Schools Association will hold a meeting immediately after the Council adjourns to discuss the schedule and the topics to be covered during the legislative meetings which will begin at 11:00 AM.
