SUBJECT: Meeting of the Proprietary School Advisory Council – November 7, 2002

The next meeting of the New York State Proprietary School Advisory Council is scheduled for Thursday, November 7, 2002. This session will be held at Computer Career Center, 340 Flatbush Avenue Extension, Brooklyn, New York. The school is at the corner of DeKalb Avenue and can be reached by taking the M, N, R, or Q trains to the DeKalb Avenue station. You may contact Monifa Skelton at (718) 422-1212 if you need additional directions. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. and should conclude by 1:00 p.m.

One of the agenda topics will be the Regulatory Reform Initiative. You can access the draft Part 126 Regulations which will be the basis for the Council’s discussions. This working draft has been updated as of October 16, 2002 and is available electronically at www.highered.nysed.gov/bpss/draftregs.htm. Please note that this proposed language is not necessarily supported by or the position of SED, but simply a basis for the Council’s ongoing discussions. Additional modifications and adjustments to this draft will be discussed at the meeting.
